WMSD to seek ADE Grant for new After School Learning Center

Public input, involvement sought for proposal

West Memphis School District The West Memphis School District announces the intent to submit a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant application to the Arkansas Department of Education.

The grant will provide After School programs to increase academic performance and graduation rates of West Memphis School District students. Academic and social enrichment programs will include tutoring, mentoring, homework assistance, recreational sports, art, music and career exploration.

Community involvement in the planning for services to students is an important and necessary component of developing this grant proposal. Please send all comments and/or suggestions to: Mr. Jon Collins, Superintendent of the West Memphis School District, at 301. S Avalon, West Memphis, AR 72301.
